Probate

Probate is the legally binding process for distributing assets and ensuring rightful heirs receive what they are entitled to. If there is a will, this means the estate will be distributed per the decedent’s wishes written in the will. If there is not a will, this means the estate will be distributed according to Colorado’s intestacy laws. In Colorado, an individual, known as the personal representative, is appointed by the Court to manage and distribute the assets.
